UVa Arts Mentors
Art Making // Education
The RAD Lab hosted the UVa Arts Mentors and their mentees this Friday to learn about *designing* how technology moves. The students learned about finite state machines, acting them out and seeing the concept in action on a humanoid robot. This event was hosted jointly with RAD Lab collaborator Kim Brooks Mata who taught the students about another way of representing movement: Motif as used in Laban Movement Analysis. RAD Lab members Ashkan Bashiri and Anne Moenning also coordinated the event.
