As part of completing a PhD dissertation entitled "Choreographic Abstractions for Style-Based Robotic Motion" advised by Magnus Egerstedt in electrical and computer engineering at GA Tech, Automaton was a space for creative and physical exploration of the ideas in the academic thesis. The live performance was presented in Clough Commons on April 6 and 13, 2013; performed by Amy LaViers Alex Abarca, Helen Hale, Camille Jackson, and Erik Thurmond; and funded by the GRITS Lab.
